Our priority is self-sufficiency; to provide the mainstay of our students’ and staff diet through our fresh seasonal produce.

Camphill Farm is interwoven throughout the campus. A cattle ranch preceded Camphill on the site, and portions of the farm were converted to field agriculture, orchards, market gardens, livestock pens and associated infrastructure in between the school facilities.

Organic farming methods have been used since the inception of Camphill Farm in 1975; no chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides have been used on the land since then. The Land & Gardens department is structured with four main work teams focusing on each of the core pillars of our production system:

Orchards

Horticulture

Nursery & Garden Centre

Livestock & Compost

Wastewater Treatment
